Do I have to show a weapons licence for the Braunschweig slot?
No. The PAA Shooting Academy taster package does not require a weapons licence. It requires a valid ID document and compliance with the safety rules.
From what age does the Academy take guests?
The standard is 18. Ages 14 to 17 only if the package conditions allow it, a parent or guardian is present and the choice of firearms stays restricted.
Is the range in Braunschweig’s old town?
No. The audience is the Lion City plus the surrounding area. The range used sits about 40 minutes east by car. We do not publish a public house number.
Why say “about 40 minutes” instead of a fixed figure?
Without traffic many drives sit between 35 and 45 minutes. The A2, A39 and roadworks shift that. So we name an order of magnitude, not a clock guarantee.
When do I receive the directions?
Together with the PAA Shooting Academy confirmation. Plan the route only after that – not via a map on schnupperschiessen-braunschweig.de.
Which firearms are ready on a Braunschweig day?
The listing decides. The package can cover handguns and long guns; long-gun programmes (for example AR15) are named for Braunschweig. On site the team says what is actually shot that day.
How much time should I block?
The Academy speaks of a one- to two-hour overall frame. Live-fire time per person is shorter and grows or shrinks with group size.
Does the team bring protection?
Yes. Eye and ear protection are part of it. Your own gear only if the instructors agree and it meets the rules.
Can I buy more ammunition?
Yes, if stock lasts and the time window still has room.
May companions watch?
They may travel with you. Watching is limited to the strip the instructors assign. Anyone without a booking does not pick up a firearm.
May I film or take photographs?
Only after agreement with the instructors. Range rules and safety come before the picture.
Are there vouchers that apply in Braunschweig?
Yes, through the Academy shop. The conditions sit there. Whether a voucher also applies at another place is decided by the Academy marking, not by this website.
When is a slot exclusive?
From three people. There is no volume discount for that.
